11st September 2012

 Woke up in the early morning, the day started to give me alot of surprises to welcome me for a brand new day. I woke up from all the noises by my family members, basically they were yelling " It's snowing! It's snowing." I was kind of blur and don't even wanted to bother them but after a couple minutes. I woke up and wore my spec and walked toward the window. It was snowing! Woah.... Not really big reaction as I'm not the first time to see the snow. I saw it before when I travelled to Korea.

It was really snowing as the picture below.

 The picture is not pixelated, it is snow!

The first picture with the car we used for 8 days and traveled almost half of the South Island .

The plan of the day was SKI! 

We went to the Remarkable Ski on top of a mountain. As we cannot drive our car go because of snowing caused slippery road and my uncle don't know the skill to drive under such weather. In this case, we chose to not take the risk and be safe to just take the shuttle bus they provided. You might wonder when driving under the snowing day, isn't it suppose just like raining day? You are absolutely wrong! They need to drive some iron chain on the wheels before they drive to create more friction between the wheel and the road. 

 After an hour rides, we finally on top of the mountain.

We had to rent our winter wear from them because our winter wear not for skiing. You will definitely can't handle the cold whenever how much layers you wore.  We registered , get changed and its time to explore!

I just wanted to lie down on the snow.

 BUT, everything won't be alright if you be with a bunch of kidssssss...

Got attacked

 Seem like no one play this don't-know-what-it-called , bike. It was full of snow on it. I wanted to play it but I won't be able to handle it, I guess. Because I can't even get rid of normal motorcycle. Shame on me :(

 The way back to the hotel we saw Sakura trees again! Never get bored yet. This scene is difference with the one we saw last time because of under the sakura tree is full of snow :)

Just too cold and the camera got those finger print or hot air.

Back to the town.......

Walked around the small town before our appointment later. When everyone were settled down in KFC nearby. My dad was gone and missing, no one could find him. A moment later, he came back his hand holding his "favourite".

 My dad is not that kind of english educated man, so he not really knows English. Yet, one thing he learnt quite fast is, Liquor Store is the place selling liquors and beers!

He went off secretly just to get this!

The Hotel 

Our appointment as I said before this, it's actually hot pools :) Cold weather, it very enjoy to stay in the hot pools......

 I didn't get to take picture inside of the hot pools because of too much steam.

Done! I'm relax now :)

Everyone were starving like hell after the hot spring, I guess our fats just got burned all away. Nah! I'm kidding :p Back to Queenstown to find some restaurant to dine in.

This guy was trying to ask everyone get in like a tour guide. LOL

 There are some pub and bar along the street too. Too bad, I'm with my family cannot explore more for that part :(

Finally we got this restaurant named Finz

 No doubt, the restaurant was certified too :)

 They have this ideas with you can draw whatever you want on the table with the crayon provided too. Same as the restaurant named China House in Penang. I did posted a blog for China House as well, read it here if you missed it.

Everyone were kinda starving and wanted to start to eat but me and my sis stopped them, because we wanted to take picture :)

 We just walked around after the meals as we all doesn't want to become fatty. :p

Early in the morning again, after we check-out from the hotel. We walked around before we heading to Dunedin.

 It was kinda difference views from Morning to Night..

On the car, I started to take some nap again and I missed an Incident that happened to my dad. My dad got this summon from the local police when he took his turn to drive after my uncle was tired.
Offence number 1 Failed to keep left  -Fine for $150
Offence number 2 Exceed 50 km/h    - Fine for $170

I just give them the LOL-face after they told me the story. So the incident was happened because of....... My dad trying to cut one lorry with tortoise speed and he saw the middle road line is dotted line so he cut the lorry and before he cut back to the left, the middle road line became a bold line. After this, there is one police car from nowhere with the siren on and asking my dad to stop at the road side. My dad came down from the car and wanted to go the other side to take his passport and my uncle just walked toward the police and trying to settle things down. But guess what, the police finger-pointing my dad and said, I want to talk to that guy, he is a BAD DRIVER, BAD DRIVER. LOL. So end up with summon. We teased my dad for the term BAD DRIVER for quite sometimes too :p

Continued our road trip.......

Bought some foods from this restaurant and we decided to have a picnic at some park nearby.

 While waiting the foods to be done, I just walked around with my camera. Love the feeling to enjoy shooting around.

Missed out the picnic photo as everyone were starving and it was very cold there. So I just wanted to fill up my stomach in a speedy time. 

Then we got to our new accommodation, it a farm house at Saddle Hill .

The owner has very big farm with sheep, cow and a cutey dog.

Very nice interior isn't it? The owner designed the house by herself.

This is not only for decoration, it actually still functioning.

After settled down, we went out to the town to walk around and have our dinner.

 I always love to see this kind of old vintage architecture. I will never get bored for these.

It's actually a Railway Station. Will talked much on it at the next visit on the next day. Because was kinda late and they closed so we went at the next day. 

The World's Steepest Street

 My uncle introduced us to this world's Steepest street.

 Just few of us walked up to the end because the folks not really interested. It's in a housing area, I was quite surprised after know it and wondered is there any cars be able to reach the top. It's really very steep, you not really can see it in picture. After this question was bothering me for quite a while, then I saw a car came in to this street and just with very slow speed to reach the top.

 After that, we went to search for a famous burger in this town. We searched in the GPS but we couldn't get the answer so we went to ask the people at around there. Then finally we got to here.

Velvet Burger, famous burger in Dunedin. You must remember and when you have the chance to visit this place, you definitely have to try it with no regrets.

I'm missing the burger now :( It's really taste awesome.......

After the dinner, we went back to the farmhouse and meet up with the owner in the house. Had some talks with them and played their antique piano..........End of the day.....

Everytime after I blogging, I will be very hungry after seeing those yummy foods :(
